MEET TERRY

Terry started filming weddings after working for a legal video deposition company in the 90’s. She rose to prominence in a male dominated field by handcrafting creative wedding videos and introduced high impact “short form” wedding videos to New Orleans at a time when wedding videos were boring hour long snoozefests.

In 1998 she won a editing competition called “The Battle of the Editors” at the 4-Ever Group video conference held in Orlando Florida. She has lived uptown on St. Charles Ave as well as in the heart of the French Quarter. She has experienced all there is to know about life in the cultural soul of the city.

In Her Own Words

Watching my parent’s 1957 8mm wedding film in 1993 was my “aha” moment that brought me to where Studio Vieux Carre is today. Along with my son Joe and his amazing wife Jeana (check out their beautiful wedding movie here), we truly understand the amount of time, love and energy that goes into planning and coordinating a wedding, which is why we’re dedicated to documenting your day professionally and delivering to you a family heirloom that can be enjoyed for future generations. We work well with local and destination vendors alike … mention our name and they’ll tell you we never interrupt the moment .. or them.

MEET JOE

Joe started standing behind a camera as young as 15 years old. As a drummer with a background in music, he naturally gravitated towards the creative nature of photography and video.

He graduated from Delgado with an Associate’s degree in video production.
In 2011 Joe married Jeana, who has become a valuable videographer as well. They have two daughters, Margot and Millie.

In His Own Words

As far back as I can remember I’ve always loved film. I started playing with cameras when I was in high school and that fascination has stuck with me into adulthood.

I’ve been through the process of getting engaged, having a wedding, and now starting a family, so I can sympathize with a lot of what couples are going through in this stage of life.

For our clients, I look at the wedding day as a blank canvas, just waiting for us to find new ways to be creative in capturing the essence of the event. This is why every time I pick up the camera, it never feels old or boring. I get excited for the possibilities that lay ahead.

I have a front row seat to witness people experience joy and happiness. What could be better than that?
