FAQS

• What do your prices and packages start at?

Our prices start at $6500 but vary depending on different factors. We recommend inquiring with us to see if your date is available first.

• How long does it take to receive my wedding film?

Our contract states that it can take up to 9 months to receive your final edited films. Instafilm edits are delivered within 30 days.
How long will the final edited wedding film be? The length of the wedding film is dependent on the package that is chosen.

• How do you record our vows, speeches or any other audio throughout the day?

We place a microphone on the groom and if possible the officiant. We have several microphones for the ceremony to capture audio from the readers, musicians, and vows. For speeches at rehearsal dinners, it is preferred that there be an audio system provided so that we can capture audio directly from that system.

• Who chooses the music?

Due to copyright laws, we license all of the songs in our wedding films. We cannot sync copyrighted music to our films due to legal liability. The majority of our couples allow us to have complete creative control over the song selection process. We welcome anyone to browse the music sites that we source our songs from to choose a few favorites that we can incorporate into the wedding film.

• Do I get any other video from my wedding other than the highlight?

There are several options to receive either the raw footage or documentary (entire length) edits of your ceremony and reception events.

• How long will the final edited wedding film be?

The length of the wedding film is dependent on the package that is chosen.

• Do you hire anyone else to film your weddings?

We will always have either Joe or Terry Taravella as the lead camera person at every wedding. We do not send out teams of videographers to shoot our weddings.

• Do you use bright lights?

At the reception we will use discreet off camera lighting at certain times. We will not be walking around with a big light on our camera shining it in your guests’ faces.

• We already have two photographers at our wedding, will adding two filmmakers feel like the paparazzi?

No! We care about you having a great time at your wedding. This is why we choose a minimalist approach, using long lenses that allow us to capture footage from a distance. We call our coverage documentation without interruption which means that we want to capture genuine emotional reactions and that doesn’t happen if we are putting our camera in everyone’s faces!

• How do you dress when you film a wedding?

We always wear either all black or formal attire when filming a wedding. We want to blend in with the environment of your wedding and wedding guests so that means no bright colors, patterns, or revealing clothing.
