We traveled to Bay St. Louis Mississippi to document the creating of a wedding on a completely blank canvas for Sapphire Events.
This was quite an undertaking as the property the wedding was to be held on was a completely empty lot that was formerly the groom’s family’s home before it was wiped away by Hurricane Katrina. This meant that literally everything had to be brought in and constructed in order to create the space for a wedding to be held.
This would be challenging enough but mother nature had another curve ball to contend with as as rapidly forming Hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico caused a change in plans of epic proportions. Watch as Valerie Gernhauser from Sapphire Events makes the dramatic decision that ended up saving the wedding and creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
